Budget 24 - Cuts to dole if you're not trying hard enough to get a job

'Long term unemployed will have their social welfae cut if they don't engage with 'job activation measures'.

 

Well, if you lose your job, it may be a shock to realise how much less you now have to live on. 

The longer you are without a job the harder it can become to get one or to be motivated.

Compensation for 'unfair dismissal' may be cut if you can not show that you tried to offset your loss by getting another job.
